Chief Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury paid his respects to the language martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar on Saturday morning.

Marking International Mother Language Day, the Chief Justice arrived at the Dhaka University premises at 6:00 AM to place a floral wreath at the monument's altar. He was accompanied by senior judges from both the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court.

Following the floral tribute, the Chief Justice and the delegation of judges stood in solemn silence for several moments, honoring the ultimate sacrifice made by the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement. The gesture served as a formal recognition from the nation’s highest judiciary of the historical struggle for linguistic rights.
