Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the chief advisor of the interim government, has got a new job. He announced this in a post on his verified Facebook account on Wednesday afternoon.

He announced this in a post on his verified Facebook account on Wednesday (February 18) afternoon.

With the formation of a new government in the country, a notification has been issued dissolving the advisory council of the interim government. This was announced in a notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani on Tuesday. In addition, the chief advisor's verified Facebook page has also been closed.

In this situation, the press secretary announced his new job on his Facebook account on Wednesday. He wrote, I have joined as the editor of a new English newspaper, The Daily Wada. I seek your prayers and blessings!!!

The Awami League government led by Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power on August 5, 2024, in a student-public uprising. Later, on August 8, an interim government was formed with Professor Muhammad Yunus as the chief advisor.

After the 13th parliamentary election on February 12, the new cabinet members were sworn in by President Md. Shahabuddin at the South Plaza of the National Parliament on Tuesday.
