Missing Youth Found Dead in Banshkhali

Police have recovered the body of a missing youth, Jobayer Bin Jamal (20), from a paddy field in Puichhari union of Banshkhali upazila, Chattogram, on Monday morning.

Locals discovered the body near Mia Market in Purba Puichhari and informed the police. The deceased was identified as the son of Jamal Hossain of Purba Chaliya Para under the same union.

According to family sources, Jobayer was mentally challenged and suffered from epilepsy. His father said the youth often left home unexpectedly and had been missing since Sunday morning. Police suspect he died after a seizure.

Banshkhali Police Station OC Saiful Islam said it appears to be a natural death. The body was handed over to the family after legal formalities.
