Death Row Fugitive Arrested in Chattogram

RAB-7 has arrested death row convict Babul Barua (36), who had been absconding after being sentenced in the murder case of US expatriate Nurul Alam.

Babul, son of Dilip Barua of South Bhurshi Barua Para in Patiya, was captured from the Gairla Tekota area of Patiya late Sunday night following a tip-off, confirmed RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) A.R.M. Mozaffar Hossain.

He was later handed over to Patiya Police Station for legal proceedings.
