No journalist had to go to jail for expressing his opinion during the interim government, Information and Broadcasting Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan said.

She told reporters in the capital on Sunday (February 15).

The Information Advisor said, no journalist had to go to jail for expressing his opinion during the interim government. Journalists Anis Alamgir and Manjurul Alam Panna had to go to jail for expressing their opinion. The state machinery must have had different information.

Regarding the responsibility of the interim government, he said, there is nothing to say about success or failure in 18 months. I have tried my best. The people will evaluate.

Regarding the departure of Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, who was serving as the special assistant to the chief advisor, the Information Advisor said, Faiz Tayyab used to live abroad, returned after completing his state work. He was away from his family for one and a half years. His family was in the Netherlands, he has returned to his family. There is no opportunity for this to flow into other sectors.
