Indian Escoff syrup worth Tk 144,000 seized in Phulbari

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized Bangladeshi sex aphrodisiac syrup and Indian Escoff syrup worth Tk 144,900 in three separate anti-smuggling operations at the Phulbari border in Dinajpur.

Lieutenant Colonel AM Jaber Bin Jabbar, commander of Phulbari Battalion (29 BGB), confirmed the matter in a press release on Sunday (February 15) morning.

The BGB said that Katla Special Camp, Khanpur BOP and Boragram BOP under Phulbari 29 Battalion conducted three separate anti-smuggling operations on the night of February 14. In the operations, 766 bottles of Bangladeshi sex aphrodisiac syrup and 75 bottles of Indian Escoff syrup were seized without owners.

The BGB said the total value of the seized syrup is Tk 1,44,900. Lieutenant Colonel AM Jaber Bin Jabbar, Commander of the Fulbari Battalion (29 BGB), further said that the BGB's operations to prevent smuggling in the border area are continuing. In the future, regular operations will be conducted to seize narcotics and smuggled goods and bring those involved under the law.
