Temple in Bheramara broken into and looted, complaint filed at police station

A brutal theft took place at the Sri Sri Shiva Temple in the courtyard of Sri Sri Jagat Janani Matri Mandir located in Kacharipara area of ​​Bheramara town, Kushtia on Tuesday night. The thieves broke the lock of the temple and entered and looted valuable metal items and donation boxes. A written complaint has been filed at Bheramara police station on behalf of the temple committee.

Mahadev Kundu, general secretary of the temple committee, said, “This temple is highly revered by the devotees of the area. The theft has spread extreme anger and concern among the local religious people. We demand that the thieves be identified immediately and brought to justice.”

Bheramara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Zahidur Rahman confirmed the incident and said, "We have received a complaint of theft by breaking the lock of the temple. The scene has been inspected and an investigation has been initiated. The utmost importance is being given to identifying and arresting the criminals. If necessary, CCTV footage or other sources will be examined."
