Global Handwashing Day Celebrated in Indurkani

Global Handwashing Day was celebrated in Indurkani, Pirojpur, with the theme "Be the Handwashing Hero." The Upazila Administration and the Department of Public Health Engineering jointly organized a vibrant rally and a handwashing demonstration on Tuesday, October 15, to mark the occasion.

The colorful rally commenced from the Upazila Parishad premises, paraded along the main road, and concluded back at the starting point, where the practical handwashing demonstration was held.

The event was graced by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Hasan Khan Bin Muhammad Ali as the Chief Guest. Also present were Upazila Public Health Sub-Assistant Engineer Shimul Baral, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Milan Talukdar, BNP leader Alamgir Kabir Mannu, Secondary Supervisor Ashok Roy, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Mojibur Rahman, and Indurkani Rural Electrification In-Charge Khondaker Didar Hossain, along with various officials and employees from the Upazila Administration.

Students from Indurkani Model Government Primary School participated in the demonstration, where they were provided with various instructions and advice on the benefits and proper technique of handwashing.
