A sharing meeting was held on tobacco control rules and regulations in Indurkani, Pirojpur. The meeting was organized by the non-governmental development organization Rupee Bangla at the local press club on Wednesday morning, December 31. The organization's director Azad Hossain Bachchu presided over it.

The sharing meeting was addressed by Md. Zakaria Hossain, assistant professor and columnist of Government Indurkani College, Indurkani MU Mehuddin Model Secondary School headmaster and Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee president Helal Uddin Gazi, UP member Mizanur Rahman, Cholaiman Hawlader and leaders of various social organizations.

Journalists from various print and electronic media of the upazila were present at the time. The discussion meeting emphasized the implementation of existing laws to prevent tobacco use, the harmful effects of tobacco, and increasing anti-tobacco awareness in the society.

Journalist Shahidul Islam, female UP member Masima Begum, and others also spoke at the event. The meeting was moderated by Altaf Hossain, manager of Rupee Bangla.
