


In recognition of their heroic contribution and sacrifice in the great war of independence, the Chattogram District Police felicitated the freedom fighters born in Chattogram and their martyred families.
On Wednesday (December 17), a program titled 'Police Freedom Fighters' felicitated the freedom fighters and martyred families.' A total of 38 freedom fighters and martyred police officers and their families were felicitated and honored.
Chattogram Superintendent of Police Mohammad Nazir Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest at the program and presented the honors.
He said that the sacrifice and bravery of the police force in the great war of independence will remain forever in the pages of history. In exchange for their blood and sacrifice, we have got an independent and sovereign Bangladesh.
He also said that the police freedom fighters are the children of the sun of this country. It is the moral responsibility of the present and future generations of police members to work for the welfare of the country and the people by embodying the spirit of the Liberation War.
In their speeches, the police freedom fighters present at the event recalled the police's outstanding bravery, sacrifice and their important role in the liberation of the motherland in their speeches. Many of the guests present became emotional during their speeches.
Senior officials of the Chattogram District Police, along with officials of various levels and invited guests, were present at the reception.
