5 women honored as indomitable women on Begum Rokeya Day in Paikgachha

The International Women's Day and Begum Rokeya Day were celebrated in Paikgachha, Khulna through various arrangements. On this occasion, a colorful rally was organized on Tuesday morning, December 9, at the initiative of the Upazila Administration and the Office of the Women's Affairs Officer. Later, a discussion meeting and an honoring ceremony for indomitable women were organized in the Upazila Parishad auditorium.

The event was held under the theme "Let's unite to stop violence against women and girls, ensure digital security" under the chairmanship of Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Reshma Akhter, and Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury was the chief guest. Assistant Commissioner Land Md. Fazle Rabbi, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Ekramul Hossain, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Saikat Mallik, Animal Resources Officer Dr. Partha Pratim Roy, and Anti-Corruption Commission Khulna Court Inspector Atul Majumdar Antu. Headmaster Rahima Akhter Shampa, Information Service Officer Tambi Das and Dipol Biswas spoke. Upazila Education Officer Bidyut Ranjan Saha, Secondary Education Officer Shahjahan Ali Sheikh, Primary Education Training Officer Iman Uddin, Cooperative Officer Humayun Kabir, Food Controller Hasibur Rahman, Forest Officer Prabir Kumar Dutta, Senior Officer of Palli Sanchay Bank Jayanto Ghosh, SFDF Officer GM Zakaria and Kazi Farhana Afroz of Nabalok were present.

At the event, 5 women in 5 categories were awarded crests and certificates as a memento of the indomitable women. The recipients of the honor are

In the economically successful women category, female entrepreneur Habiba Akhter Riti (22), wife of Mehedi Hasan of Gopalpur village. In the women who achieved success in education and employment, Assistant Judge Sujata Amin (29), daughter of Amin Uddin Sardar of Batikhali village. Nasrin Khatun (32), daughter of Badraddoja Sana of Kamalapur village, is starting life with new enthusiasm after erasing the horror of torture in the women category, and Firoza Khatun (55), wife of the late Abdus Samad Azad of Srikanthpur village, is in the successful mother women category.
