


The local development organization Profit Foundation celebrated Bangladesh NGO Foundation Day and its own founding anniversary with various programs in Kaliganj Upazila of Lalmonirhat.
The main events included a discussion meeting and a free PPR (Peste des Petits Ruminants) vaccination program held at the organization's head office in the afternoon.
Organized in collaboration with the Bangladesh NGO Foundation, the program offered free PPR vaccines and primary medical care to the goats and poor women beneficiaries of Dalgram Union. PPR is a highly contagious viral disease affecting small ruminants like goats and sheep.
The program was presided over by Profit Foundation Executive Director Md. Nuruzzaman Ahmed. Guests included Kaliganj Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Taherul Islam (Chief Guest), Superintendent of Dalgram Dakhil Madrasa Md. Nurul Islam, VFA of Upazila Livestock Department Mehedi Hasan, and others.
Speakers emphasized the vital role of NGOs in the development of rural areas. They stated that this initiative by the Profit Foundation would be important for animal husbandry, agricultural development, and health awareness among rural beneficiaries.
Following the discussion meeting, the vaccination activities were conducted, and the participating beneficiaries were given necessary awareness instructions.
