The National Livestock Week-2025 has officially commenced in Nalchiti, Jhalakathi.

The Livestock Week and Livestock Exhibition were inaugurated by Upazila Executive Officer Lovely Yasmin at the Upazila Parishad premises on Wednesday, November 26.

In attendance were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rizvi Ahmed Sabuj, OC of Nalchiti Police Station Md. Abdus Salam, Livestock Officer Abu Saleh Md. Ifad Ishtiaq, Agricultural Extension Officer Mostafizur Rahman, Upazila BNP General Secretary Md. Selim Gazi, and President of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Nalchiti Upazila Branch Maulana Mohammad Shahjalal Hossain, among others.

The event was organized by the Upazila Livestock and Veterinary Hospital, with this year's theme being "Local breeds, modern technology, progress in livestock." Farmers Saleh Mohammad Isa Muhid and Tumpa Rani Das received awards during the exhibition.
