A meeting took place with the new Deputy Commissioner of Lakshmipur, along with representatives from all political parties, civil society, freedom fighters, and media personnel.

The meeting occurred on Wednesday afternoon (November 19) at the District Commissioner's Hall, chaired by the new Deputy Commissioner of Lakshmipur, S. M. Mehedi.

The session was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Samrat Khisa, and included attendees such as Deputy Director of Local Government and Municipal Administrator Md. Jasim Uddin, District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Master Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan, District BNP Joint Convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman, District President of Islamic Movement Captain (Retd) Ibrahim, Former President of the Aware Citizens Committee (SANAK) TIB Professor ZM Farooqui, BFF Vice President Wahiduddin Chowdhury Happy, PP of Lakshmipur Judge Court Ahmed Ferdous Manik, Secretary of the Press Club Saidul Islam Pabel, District Convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Arman Hossain, and others.

The speakers shared various opinions on how to create a beautiful and orderly Lakshmipur, emphasizing that halting extortion and tendering is essential for developing the area. They called for a strong administrative role in this effort.

District Administrator SM Mehedi remarked that while there may be differences among us, they shouldn't escalate into conflicts. If everyone is open about their work, we can achieve a beautiful Lakshmipur. At this moment, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner is seeking the support of the district's residents to help build a corruption- and drug-free Lakshmipur.
