Bangladesh Weather Slight Temperature Drop

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast a slight drop in daytime temperatures across the country today, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged. There is also a possibility of rain in several regions.

According to the regular weather bulletin issued on Saturday (April 18), rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning may occur in parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Isolated rainfall is also likely in one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Chattogram divisions. Some areas may experience scattered hailstorms.

Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.

Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa said the likelihood of a heatwave today is low. Daytime temperatures may fall slightly, although warm conditions are expected to persist. On Friday, the highest temperature recorded was 36.8°C, with most areas experiencing temperatures between 34°C and 35.5°C.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Saturday was 21.5°C.
