


Dr. Zubaida Rahman, eminent physician and wife of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, met with US Special Envoy Charles J. Harder on Tuesday to discuss global cooperation on child development and public health.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the "Fostering the Future Together" Global Coalition Summit, held at the US State Department. The summit, an initiative of the White House, was inaugurated by US First Lady Melania Trump.

Dr. Zubaida Rahman joined first spouses and representatives from 45 nations at the two-day conference. The Bangladeshi delegation included Ambassador to the US Tarek Md. Ariful Islam, Professor Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan of Dhaka University, and senior medical and diplomatic officials.
The summit serves as a high-level platform for world leaders to address the challenges children face in the digital age while fostering international partnerships in health and education.
