


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presented the Ekushey Padak 2026, the nation’s second-highest civilian honor, to 10 individuals and one musical group today. The ceremony took place at 11:00 AM at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
The state recognition honors those who have made distinguished contributions to the nation across various fields. This year’s recipients include.
Farida Akhter Babita (Film), Professor Abdus Sattar (Fine Arts), Marina Tabassum (Architecture), Ayub Bachchu (Music, Posthumous) ,Islam Uddin Palakar (Drama), Shafiq Rehman (Journalism), Professor Mahbubul Alam Majumder (Education), Tejas Halder Yash (Sculpture), Arthi Ahmed (Dance) , Warfaze (Music - Group Category)
Following the ceremony, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the 'Amar Ekushey Boi Mela,' the country’s largest cultural and book fair, this afternoon. Earlier in the morning, the Prime Minister chaired a Cabinet Division meeting at 10:30 AM.
