Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad has issued a stern warning against any irregularities or negligence regarding the upcoming Hajj. Speaking at a meeting with ministry officials at the Secretariat on Sunday afternoon, the Minister emphasized that the government will not hesitate to take punitive action against those who deviate from their duties.

"Hajj is imminent, and no concessions will be made," the Minister stated. He clarified that this standard applies not only to Hajj management but to all areas of government service.

During the session, the Minister urged officials to prioritize integrity over blind obedience. He noted that while it is easy for an officer to simply follow orders to avoid trouble, true benefit to the country comes from fulfilling responsibilities with sincerity. "We must fulfill our duties properly to ensure our earnings are halal and to please Allah," he said.

The Minister also encouraged an open-door policy, inviting officials to speak up if they encounter illegal instructions. "If I order something that is not legal, you must tell me. I will be happy if you point out what is against the law," he added, promising to support those who take initiative in implementing government decisions.
