Massive Fire Erupts at Old Dhaka Plastic Factory; 11 Firefighting Units Deployed

A large fire has erupted at a plastic manufacturing facility in the Islambagh area of Old Dhaka.

As of the latest update from the fire service control room on Wednesday, December 17th, eleven firefighting teams are actively engaged in operations to extinguish the major blaze.

The initial team arrived at the scene at 1 PM. The current firefighting deployment includes two units each from Lalbagh, Hazaribagh, and Palashi, supported by five additional teams.

The fire service has reported that the cause of the fire remains unknown and is yet to be definitively ascertained. Investigations into the origin and nature of the incident are ongoing.
