


Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Prannoy Verma met with the Prime Minister's Finance Advisor, Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, at the Secretariat on Monday (March 16). The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties and expanding energy cooperation.
Following the meeting, High Commissioner Verma emphasized the importance of deepening the existing partnership. He noted that current cross-border power and energy connectivity serve as a foundation for long-term economic stability between the two nations. Both parties explored ways to enhance this infrastructure to benefit their respective economies.
The meeting also reviewed various ongoing projects, particularly within the energy and finance sectors. Both officials exchanged views on fostering closer ties and increasing mutual cooperation in the future.
When asked about the status of Indian visa services, Verma stated that no new decision has been made. He assured that any updates regarding visa processing would be officially announced.
