Police have arrested four people, including the alleged mastermind, in connection with the attack and vandalism at content creator Salman Muqtadir’s Brownfish Studio in the capital’s ECB Chattar area.
Cantonment Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Gias Uddin confirmed the arrests on Sunday afternoon, September 27.
The arrested individuals are Shahriar, identified by police as the alleged mastermind of the attack; Md Mamun of Bhasantek slum; and Aslam and Munna of the Majumdar Mor area.
According to the OC, the attack stemmed from a dispute between New Guinea Properties Ltd, the owner of the land where the studio is located, and other landowners in the area.
Police said Salman Muqtadir had rented a floor from New Guinea Properties and established his studio there. The studio was vandalised during the attack.
Salman Muqtadir alleged that a group of people arrived in two trucks late Saturday night and attacked and vandalised the studio.
