Nisho, Putul wins National Film Awards 2023; Saatao named Best Film

Afran Nisho has won the Best Actor award, while Aynun Nahar Putul has been named Best Actress at the National Film Awards 2023. The film Saatao received the Best Film award.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the awards on Thursday night through an official gazette. Winners were selected across 28 categories, recognising 30 films, artistes and technical contributors.

In addition to Best Film, Saatao director Khandaker Suman won the Best Director award for his work.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will be given jointly to late filmmaker Tareque Masud and late cinematographer and director Abdul Latif Bachchu, honouring their lasting contributions to Bangladeshi cinema.
