Voting equipment including ballot papers at polling stations in Porsha

Voting equipment including ballot papers have been sent to 39 polling stations in Porsha, Naogaon. Voting equipment including ballot papers were handed over to the presiding officer and assistant presiding officers on Wednesday afternoon. The election will be held in 213 rooms, both permanent and temporary, in this upazila, which is part of Naogaon-1 constituency. These equipment have been distributed amidst tight security to ensure a fair and peaceful election. Election Officer Rabiul Awal, Thana Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman, Project Implementation Officer Mahmudul Haque Titu and Ansar-VDP officials were present at the time.

On Wednesday, the concerned Assistant Returning Officer Rakibul Islam handed over the ballot papers and envelopes, seals, voter lists and other election materials to the presiding and assistant presiding officers from the Upazila Election Officer's office. The total number of voters in this upazila is 1 lakh 12 thousand 766. Maximum security measures have been taken in the upazila to avoid any kind of unpleasant incident.

The upazila administration will maintain round-the-clock surveillance to maintain law and order on the day of voting and maximum precautions have been taken to ensure that voters can exercise their right to vote without any hindrance, said Assistant Returning Officer Rakibul Islam. Earlier, Assistant Returning Officer Rakibul Islam gave a special briefing to the presiding officers and law enforcement members of 39 centers and distributed hand microphones.#
