Bangladeshi exports to the United Kingdom have registered significant growth, according to official UK government statistics. Between March 2025 and March 2026, Bangladeshi exports to the UK increased by 15 percent, reaching a total value of £3.8 billion.

In contrast, UK exports to Bangladesh fell by 2.5 percent during the same period, declining to £700 million.

Despite the dip in UK exports, total bilateral trade between the two nations grew by 12 percent, touching £4.5 billion. As a result of these trade dynamics, the UK’s trade deficit with Bangladesh widened to £3.1 billion.

As in previous years, Ready-Made Garments (RMG) accounted for the lion's share of Bangladesh's exports to the UK, totaling £3.3 billion. Beyond apparel, Bangladesh also exported textile fabrics, processed fish, and footwear to the British market.

On the import side, Bangladesh primarily sourced industrial equipment from the UK, including mechanical power generation machinery as well as scientific and electrical devices.
