Six individuals have been arrested, including two suspects linked to the Sarwar murder case in Chittagong.

RAB has apprehended two individuals in connection with the open shooting of Sarwar Hossain Babla in the Chalitali region of Bayezid Police Station, located in Chittagong city.

Additionally, RAB has detained one person related to the shooting of disabled autorickshaw driver Md. Idris in the same vicinity, along with three others, including the alleged mastermind Ishtiaq Chowdhury Abhi, involved in the open shooting and violent clash in Raozan. They were taken into custody during an operation conducted from Thursday (November 6) to Friday (November 7) morning. This information was verified by RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) A.R. M. Mozaffar Hossain.

RAB-7 Commander Lt. Col. Md. Hafizur Rahman stated that further details regarding this matter will be provided at a press conference. Previously, on Wednesday (November 5), BNP candidate for the Chittagong 8 constituency and convener of Metropolitan BNP, Ershad Ullah, was shot while campaigning in the Chalitali area of Bayezid Police Station in Chittagong city. He sustained gunshot wounds, and Sarwar Hossain Babla, who was implicated in 18 cases in Chittagong, was killed during the incident.
