Juba Dal Leader Killed in Phulbari Hit-and-Run

The fatal crash occurred around 8:00 pm in the Barmchari area on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway.

Mizanur Rahman Mizan(48) a local Juba Dal leader was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday night.

The fatal crash occurred around 8:00 pm in the Barmchari area on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway.

Mizan son of Maqbul Hossain from Mahadipur village, served as the president of the Khairbari Union Juba Dal. According to police and local sources he was traveling from his home to Phulbari town when an unidentified speeding truck struck him. The vehicle fled the scene immediately and Mizan died on the spot.

Upon receiving information police recovered the body from the highway. After completing the necessary legal procedures the body was handed over to his family. Mizan is survived by his two sons.

Local BNP and Juba Dal leaders expressed deep shock over the tragic accident and extended their condolences to the bereaved family in separate messages.
