Two Arrested in Kanchpur Drug Bust with 18 Bottles of Contraband

Police arrested two suspected drug dealers and seized 18 bottles of banned drug syrup during a targeted raid in the Kanchpur area of Sonargaon, Narayanganj, on July 14.

Acting on a tip-off, a Sonargaon Police Station team apprehended the suspects red-handed. The arrestees were identified as Nur Alam alias Babu (30), originally from Nehal Sardarerbagh, and Sajedul Islam alias Saju (31), from Fulhar. Both areas fall under the Bandar Police Station jurisdiction.

According to police officials, the raid is part of an ongoing crackdown on local narcotics networks. Preliminary investigations indicate the duo has been involved in the regional drug trade for an extended period.

Authorities are currently filing a case against the suspects under the Narcotics Control Act. Local police reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations to ensure community safety and curb regional crime.
