


Marking International Anti-Drug Day, the youth wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized a protest march and human chain in Naldanga Union of Sadullapur Upazila, Gaibandha.
The Naldanga Union Youth Jamaat hosted the program at the local Shaheed Minar premises at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 26.
A large number of local youth and community members participated, advocating the slogans: "Say no to drugs, build a healthy life" and "Build a drug-free society for a beautiful future."
Following a procession through the main port roads, participants gathered for a rally. Naldanga Union Youth Jamaat President Md. Abul Kashem presided over the event, which was moderated by Secretary Md. Nazmul Islam.
Key speakers included Naldanga Union Jamaat President Alhaj Md. Al Amin Mia, Secretary Md. Abdur Jabbar, Ulama Division President Md. Rafiqul Islam, Rokon member Md. Rafiqul Islam, and former Upazila Chhatra Shibir President Md. Mehedi Hasan.
Addressing the crowd, speakers urged the community to eliminate drug abuse and guide vulnerable youth back to a healthy path. "Drugs destroy families, society, and the state," they emphasized. "If we cannot protect our youth from this deadly crisis, the country's future will be dark."
Reiterating their commitment to building a healthy society, Jamaat-e-Islami’s youth wing called for united community resistance and stricter law enforcement surveillance to eradicate drugs from Sadullapur Upazila completely.
