


The Porsha Upazila branch of the Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association hosted an Eid reunion and discussion meeting following Eid-ul-Azha at the Katipur Kalinagar High School auditorium on Monday.
The event was presided over by upazila branch president Asfaqul Asekin and moderated by General Secretary Abdur Raich Uddin. Acting Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mosa Nabila Ferdous attended as the chief guest.
Special guests included Porsha Thana Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman, the organization's executive president Mazharul Haque, vice presidents Mozaharul Haque Shah, Jahangir Alam, and Abdus Salam, and organizing secretary Rabiul Islam. Vice President Anwar Hossain Milton delivered the welcome speech.
Upazila Executive Officer Rakibul Islam addressed the gathering virtually from Dhaka via mobile phone. He urged teachers to work unitedly to develop primary education, keeping in mind the spirit of Eid harmony. He noted that such gatherings boost teacher enthusiasm and expressed hope that the tradition would continue.
The program began with teachers exchanging Eid greetings, followed by a discussion focused on improving primary education quality, protecting teachers' professional dignity, and maintaining unity. Head teachers Aminul Islam, Abul Basar, and Asaduzzaman, along with assistant teachers and association members, were present.
