Bhola Man Arrested After Rape Victim Attacks Him in Self-Defense

A 35-year-old man was arrested and hospitalized after a mother of three severely injured him while defending herself during an alleged sexual assault in Bhola's Char Fashion Upazila early Saturday.

The accused, identified as Imam Sardar an electrician and son of Majid Sardar from Char Kalmi village allegedly broke into the victim's house in Nazrul Nagar Union under Dakshin Aicha Police Station while her family was asleep. According to police and case files, Sardar forcibly assaulted the woman, who then used a sharp object nearby to strike his genitals in self-defense, causing him to flee the scene.

Following the incident, Dakshin Aicha Police raided the area, arrested the injured suspect and admitted him to the Char Fashion Upazila Health Complex, where he remains under police guard.

The victim filed a formal case on Saturday afternoon under the Prevention of Women and Children Repression Act. Police have sent her to the 250-bed General Hospital in Bhola for a mandatory medical examination.

Dakshin Aicha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ahsan Kabir confirmed the arrest and stated that legal proceedings are actively underway.
