


Financial assistance from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund has been distributed among helpless and underprivileged families in Porsha, Naogaon, ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Member of Parliament for the Naogaon-1 constituency, distributed the funds as the chief guest at a ceremony held on Monday afternoon. Organized by the upazila administration, the event took place at the Upazila Parishad auditorium and was presided over as chairman by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam.
A total of Taka 3 lakh was distributed among approximately 80 impoverished individuals from across the upazila to help them celebrate the upcoming festival.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Shah Alam, LGED Engineer ANM Sultanul Imam, Upazila BNP General Secretary Sadequl Islam, and Joint General Secretary Shakil Javed. Publicity Secretary Rafiqul Islam Gama, former Senior Vice President Taufiqur Rahman Shah Chowdhury, former General Secretary Masud Rana, former Joint Organizing Secretary Azahar Ali, and other local leaders were also present.
