Typhoid Vaccination Campaign Coordination Meeting Held in Nilphamari

With the slogan “Let’s take the vaccine together to prevent typhoid fever,” a coordination meeting was held on Thursday afternoon in Nilphamari ahead of the Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025.

The meeting was organized by the Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Office and held at the Upazila Health Complex conference hall. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Saiful Islam presided over the meeting.

Among others, Dr. Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer; A.T.M. Nurul Amin Shah, Upazila Secondary Education Officer; Jachijul Alam Mondol, Upazila Primary Education Officer; M.R. Saeed, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station; and Jagannath Roy, Upazila Family Planning Officer, spoke on the occasion.

Under the government’s Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), the nationwide typhoid vaccination campaign will begin on October 12, including in Nilphamari district. Through this campaign, children aged 9 months to under 15 years and students from pre-primary to class nine (or equivalent) will receive a single dose of the typhoid vaccine free of cost.
