


A Partner Congress of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) was held in Porsha upazila of Naogaon on Tuesday.
The event was organised under the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNERS) for the 2025–26 fiscal year.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam presided over the programme at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. Md. Homayra Mondal, Deputy Director of DAE in Naogaon, attended as the chief guest. Senior Monitoring Officer of PARTNERS (Rajshahi region), Md. Abdul Latif, was present as special guest.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid delivered the welcome address.
Speakers at the congress stressed reducing the use of harmful pesticides in crop production and promoting safe, sustainable farming practices. They also urged farmers to focus on producing safe food for public health.
Agriculture officials and farmers from different unions of the upazila took part in the event.
