Mahar Ali, the Union President of the Sramik Kalyan Federation and a prominent local leader, was laid to rest on Wednesday following his passing the previous day.

Mr. Ali, 62, fell ill and passed away on Tuesday, April 14, while being transported from Dinajpur Medical College Hospital to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

His funeral prayer (Janaza) took place at the Birashi High School grounds on Wednesday afternoon. He was later buried at the Mamrejpur cemetery. Mr. Ali is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters, and a large circle of relatives and political colleagues.

Prominent figures, including Thakurgaon District Jamaat Ameer Belal Uddin Chief and central leaders of the Sramik Kalyan Federation, attended the services. Local business leaders and heads of various educational institutions have expressed their deep condolences to the bereaved family.
