Health officials emphasized that the drive is critical for reducing infectious disease risks and ensuring long-term child safety. The inauguration was attended by Director of the Barisal Health Department, Shyamal Krishna Mandal; Jhalakathi District Council Administrator, Advocate Md. Shahadat Hossain; and Civil Surgeon, Dr. Humayun Kabir.

Addressing the event as chief guest, Dr. Ziauddin Haider noted that 30 areas nationwide have been identified as hotspots due to rising measles outbreaks. He stated that the emergency program was mobilized quickly following government directives to curb the spread.
