Admissions to CU begin on February 22

The date of admission for the ‘D-1’ sub-unit of the Faculty of Education for the 1st year undergraduate (honors) class of the 2025-26 academic year of Chittagong University has been announced. On Wednesday (February 18), a notification signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education of the university, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yahya Akhtar, informed that the primary admission process of the candidates selected in the first phase will start from February 22 and continue till February 26.

​As per the instructions of the notification, students nominated in the subject or department of the general seat of the D-1 sub-unit must appear at the Faculty of Education office within the stipulated time and submit all the necessary documents to complete the admission. For admission, the candidate must bring a signed copy of the department preference form, the original admit card of the admission test, the original registration card of the SSC and HSC or equivalent examination, the original mark sheet, the original certificate and the original testimonial. In addition, it has been made mandatory to submit a photocopy of the birth certificate (if available), 6 attested passport size photographs and one set of attested photocopies of all the above documents.

​As a fee for the admission process, students will have to submit a total of 4,500 taka including 500 taka for ‘Faculty Development Fee’ and 4,000 taka for ‘Educational Support Fee’. The university authorities have specifically warned that if the admission is not completed by submitting the required documents and fees within the stipulated time, the nomination of the concerned candidate will be considered cancelled. It has been informed that the second stage nomination list will be published on the university website according to the merit list, provided that there are vacant seats at the end of this primary admission process.
