


The body of a van driver, missing for two days, was recovered with hands and feet tied near the Ishwardi-Pabna highway in the Kalikapur Sugar Mill area of Ishwardi upazila, Pabna, on Wednesday (October 15) around 5:30 PM.
The deceased was identified as Iman Ali Pramanik (57), a resident of Munshidpur village in Dashuria Union. According to family and police sources, he operated a van alongside his cattle feed business. He went missing on Monday night after leaving home with his van and never returned. His family filed a missing person’s report at Ishwardi Police Station the following day.
Locals discovered the body by the roadside and alerted police. Ishwardi Police later recovered the body and confirmed signs of restraint, indicating foul play.
Officer-in-Charge A.S.M. Abdur Noor said legal procedures are underway, and a case will be filed pending the family's formal complaint.
