


The five-day Jor Ijtema organized by Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh Shurai Nejam ended on Tuesday morning with prayers on the banks of Turag in Tongi. About 2.5 lakh devotees from Dhaka, Gazipur and surrounding districts participated in the prayer on Tuesday morning.
Habibullah Raihan, media coordinator of Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh Shurai Nejam, said that the prayers started at 8:51 am on Tuesday and ended at 9:13 am. A religious atmosphere prevailed on the banks of Turag these days. During the prayers on Tuesday morning, tears rolled down the Ijtema grounds. The prayers were conducted by Maulana Ahmed Batla of Pakistan.
Habibullah Raihan also said that 732 foreign devotees from 27 countries participated in this Jor. The participating countries are Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Canada, Thailand, Myanmar, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Italy, Niger, Afghanistan, Germany, Japan, China, Egypt, South Korea, and Australia.
Habibullah Raihan also said that a total of 6 worshippers died in the Jod Ijtema this time.
Meanwhile, according to the government decision, the Tongi Bishwa Ijtema is scheduled to be held after the upcoming national elections, according to relevant sources.
