A jewellery shop employee named Sourav Chakraborty (22) from Barabazar in Kishoreganj city, who has been missing for a week, has not been found yet.

Sourav Chakraborty, son of late Sanjit Chakraborty of Rudarpodda village in Jaraitala union of Nikli upazila, has been missing since November 22. A general diary (No. 1468) has been filed with Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station in this regard. Tapas Roy (41) of Batris Binnagaon area, a craftsman of Jahura Jewelers in Barabazar, district sadar, filed the general diary on November 24.

Tapas Roy wrote in the diary that Sourav had been learning work at Jahura Jewelers from his house for three years. On November 22, around 4 pm, Sourav went somewhere without telling anyone. After that, he could not be found in all possible places and the homes of relatives.

Finally, after contacting Sourav's mother Namita Chakraborty, it was learned that Sourav did not go home either. As a result, a general diary was filed at Sadar police station on November 24. When Tapas Roy was asked about this, he said that the owner of the jewelers is Khairul Islam. Tapas Roy worked there as a craftsman. Sourav used to learn from him. He said that on the day of the incident, when Sourav came to the shop, Sourav asked him what was in his pocket and Sourav spoke to him in bad language. Then Tapas Roy slapped Sourav on the cheek and Sourav left the key and left. He searched and could not find it. Later, his elder brother was informed on his mobile phone.

Later, Tapas Roy went to the police station on Friday and spoke to the OC about Sourav. Sourav's elder brother Subrata Chakraborty said that he could not understand anything about his brother leaving like this. The matter seemed unusual. Sourav's mother is always crying. She wants Sourav back.

Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun said that the police are working on the matter in the field.
