


The Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital have organized a rally, inaugural ceremony and livestock exhibition on the occasion of National Livestock Week in Paikgachha.
On this occasion, a colorful rally circled the main road of the Upazila Sadar on Wednesday morning, November 26. Later, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahera Naznin was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony organized on the theme "Local breeds, modern technology will improve livestock" under the chairmanship of Upazila Livestock Office Officer Dr. Partha Pratim Roy.
Special guests were Assistant Commissioner Land Md. Fazle Rabbi, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Ekramul Hossain, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Saikat Mallick, Secondary Education Officer Shahjahan Ali Sheikh, Education Officer Bidyut Ranjan Saha, Women Affairs Officer Reshma Akhter, Food Controller Hasibur Rahman, Election Officer Bazlur Rahman, Rural Development Officer Wahid Murad, Senior Officer of Palli Sanchay Bank Jayanto Ghosh, SFDF Officer GM Zakaria. The event was moderated by Livestock Extension Officer Dr. Serdatul Islam and was addressed by Press Club Vice President Md. Abdul Aziz, Journalist Prakash Ghosh Bidhan, Deputy Assistant Livestock Officer Tariqul Islam, SM Kamrul Abedin, GM Kamrul Islam, Farmer Anwar Hossain, Amaresh Kumar Mondal, Ashrafuzzaman and Malay Mondal.
The National Livestock Week was officially inaugurated by Upazila Executive Officer Mahera Nazneen by cutting the ribbon at the event. Later, the guests visited various stalls of the livestock exhibition. There are 30 stalls in the exhibition.
