The body of a 9-year-old student, Hafsa, has been found in the Sardarpara area of Pabna Sadar Upazila. Her remains were discovered in a garden adjacent to her grandfather's house on Saturday, November 15, around 10 PM.

Hafsa, the daughter of Hafizur Rahman from Kamargaon village in Malanchi Union, was a third-grade student who had visited her grandfather's home a few days prior.

According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Salam of the Pabna Sadar Police Station, the police retrieved the body after receiving reports from local residents. It has been noted that the garden next to her grandfather's house has been a known gathering spot for troublemakers, drug users, and gamblers.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the child may have been strangled by assailants intending to steal her earrings, after which her body was left in the garden. Two young men suspected of involvement in the crime have been apprehended, and an investigation is currently ongoing.
