Financial Aid Checks Given to Poor in Laxmipur

Financial assistance checks were distributed to needy, helpless and poor people in Laxmipur Sadar Upazila on Sunday morning.

The program organized by the Upazila administration was held at the Upazila Parishad meeting room. On behalf of the Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council the 25 financial assistance checks were handed over to eligible beneficiaries.

Md. Abul Khair Bhuiyan, Member of Parliament for Laxmipur-2, attended as chief guest. Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kathowaipru Marma presided over the event.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the government after receiving the assistance, saying it would help meet their daily needs and ease financial hardship.

Officials noted that such programs play a vital role in improving the quality of life for underprivileged and helpless people in society. Laxmipur has previously distributed similar assistance under various government welfare schemes.

Upazila administration officials, local public representatives, people from different professions and beneficiaries attended the program. Organizers said government assistance initiatives would continue in the future to support the helpless members of society.
