Motorcyclist Killed in Bus Collision on Rangpur Highway

A motorcyclist was killed and two others seriously injured in a head-on collision with a Shyamoli Paribahan bus in the Muri Mail area of Taraganj, Rangpur on the Saidpur-Rangpur highway Wednesday night.

The victim Sajjad Hossain 25, younger son of Md. Barij Mia of Ghanirampur Bairagirdanga in Taraganj's Kursha Union No. 2, died after the Dhaka-bound bus collided head-on with his motorcycle around 9pm.

Locals rescued the injured and rushed them to Taraganj Upazila Health Complex where Hossain died. The other two riders remain in critical condition. Taraganj Police and Fire Service personnel assisted in the rescue operation. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
