A mobile court fined New Tripti Food Bakery one lakh taka on Wednesday after finding multiple food safety violations during a raid in Daser Hat, Chandraganj Upazila, Laxmipur.

The operation was led by District Magistrate Arafat Hossain and Assistant Director of the Food Safety Department Sumadhu Chakraborty with support from RAB and the local Sanitation Officer.

Inspectors found that the bakery was using the BSTI (Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution) logo on its products without official approval. The production area was also found to be unsanitary. Officials further discovered the bakery was using another company's seal and banned chemicals in food preparation.

Following the raid the authorities fined the bakery one lakh taka and warned the owner to maintain a clean with hygienic production environment and stop using banned chemicals immediately. Officials cautioned that stricter legal action would follow if similar violations are found in future inspections.

The raid highlights ongoing efforts by local authorities to crack down on unsafe and fraudulent food production practices across Laxmipur.
