Woman Killed in Sadullapur Motorcycle Hit-and-Run in Gaibandha

A 35-year-old woman named Anjuara Begum was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in Gaibandha's Sadullapur upazila on Thursday evening.

The tragic incident occurred around 5:30 PM on the Sadullapur-Bhatgram road in the Tiagachha area. According to eyewitnesses, a speeding motorcycle struck Anjuara as she was navigating the road and leaving her critically injured.

Locals immediately rushed to her aid and attempted to transport her to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her severe injuries at the scene before she could receive medical attention.

Following the collision, the motorcyclist abandoned the vehicle and managed to flee the area.

Officers from the Sadullapur Police Station arrived at the location shortly after the incident to recover the body and confiscate the abandoned motorcycle.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Habibul Islam confirmed the casualty and the vehicle's seizure. He assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway and police are actively working to identify and apprehend the absconding driver to ensure strict legal action.
