Mbappe doubled the lead in the 37th minute with a fine individual run and finish. Sevilla pushed forward in the second half, but Diomande set up Mbappe again brought down inside the box before converting the resulting penalty.
Sevilla substitute Manu Bueno pulled one back in the 80th minute following a defensive error but Diomande capped an outstanding performance two minutes later with a powerful strike to restore Real's three-goal advantage. The match also saw defender Eder Militao return to action off the bench following his recovery from hamstring surgery in April.
The win moves Jose Mourinho’s side to third in LaLiga on 21 points, one behind second-placed Atletico Madrid also boosting momentum ahead of their crucial showdown with Barcelona next Sunday.
