


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the graves of his parents, former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia to offer prayers following the Eid-ul-Azha congregation on Thursday morning.
The Prime Minister, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, traveled directly to the grave site in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar after attending the central Eid prayers at the National Eidgah.
The premier initially offered prayers and recited from the Holy Quran in a private family service. Afterward, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Prime Minister Tarique Rahman led a second prayer service and laid floral wreaths alongside senior party leaders and cabinet members.
A prominent government and party delegation accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit, including Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Social Welfare Minister AZM Zahid Hossain, Political Advisor to the PM and BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Defence Advisor AKM Shamsul Islam, State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Alam Milton.
