


A day after his historic return from nearly 17 years in exile, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the grave of his father and party founder, former President Ziaur Rahman, at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Friday afternoon.
Father's Grave: Tarique's motorcade departed his Gulshan residence at 2:45 PM. At Zia Udyan, he offered prayers and paid floral tributes to his father, a moment marking his first visit to the site in over a decade.
National Martyrs’ Memorial: Following his visit to Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, he traveled to Savar to pay his respects to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War at the National Memorial.
Upcoming Schedule: Saturday, Dec 26 Tarique Rahman has a packed schedule for Saturday, focusing on civic duties and honoring recent movement activists: Voter Registration: He will complete formalities for his National Identity (NID) card and register as a voter, a key step toward contesting upcoming elections.
Osman Hadi’s Grave: He is scheduled to visit the grave of Osman Hadi, the slain convenor of Inqilab Moncho, at Dhaka University.
Hospital Visit: Later, he will visit the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) to meet and provide support to those injured during the July Uprising.
