Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, personal physician and standing committee member of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, provided an update on her health condition outside Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday, November 29th.
Dr. Zahid stated that Khaleda Zia's condition is stable and has been undergoing treatment for the past three days since November 27th, currently in the CCU (Coronary Care Unit).
He noted that her condition has been at the "same stage for the last three years," viewing her ability to receive treatment as a "good sign."
She is receiving treatment under the joint advice of doctors from various countries, including England, Saudi Arabia, China, Singapore, and the United States, providing "all kinds of international medical care."
Regarding the possibility of taking her abroad, Dr. Zahid stated that she cannot be treated abroad in her current physical condition. Any future decision would be based on her improvement and the recommendation of the medical board.
Her son, Tarique Rahman, is involved in her treatment, and his wife, Dr. Zobaida Rahman, is coordinating contact between the medical board and the foreign doctors.2 Other family members are also present at the hospital.
Dr. Zahid urged well-wishers and supporters to avoid crowding the hospital due to the need for other patients (over three hundred) to receive treatment, asking people to "Pray for him from your own place."
