The news of her admission was confirmed around 8 PM on Sunday by her personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain. According to Professor Hossain, "Madam has been admitted to Evercare Hospital for some examinations on the advice of the medical board formed for Madam. He's in the cabin."

The medical board will decide on the next course of action only after reviewing the results of the diagnostic tests. She departed for the hospital earlier in the evening from her Gulshan residence, Firoza.
